Established in 1967, the Bothin Burn Center celebrates 42 years of providing outstanding care to the San Francisco Bay Area, Northern California, the West Coast and beyond. This ten-bed intensive care unit is the only certified burn center in San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area providing treatment for seriously burned children and adults from their first acute trauma to their return home. In order to continue to provide excellent care in the future, we must expand and upgrade our Bothin Burn center to meet the needs of our patients. Over the years we have improved equipment and incorporated new technologies within our Burn Center, but patient needs now demand major expansion and upgrading of this critical service.

Dear Friend,

Over the past 42 years the Bothin Burn Center at Saint Francis Memorial Hospital has been providing hope and care for countless burn patients from throughout Northern California and beyond. The Bothin Burn Center started as a four-bed ward in 1955 and became officially established in 1967. The Bothin Burn Center is the only dedicated burn care facility in San Francisco.
